I really wasn't a big tea person until a co-worker introduced me to hibiscus tea. I've finally met my match. Forget tea bags... just add hot water to dried hibiscus petals, (found in grocery stores) and you'll get a tangy, fruity, juicy tea. It's perfect for these rainy days.

Vid of the Day- Punch Brothers
My posts have been so fashion-centric lately... It's time to change it up. I just recently started listening to the Punch Brothers- a band created by Nickel Creek's mandolin player, Chris Thile. It's an acoustic album, which means all you hear is the sheer talent of the musicians. I love it! Here is a video performance of a song that's on their newest ablum, Antifogmatic, that is to be released later this year. How much does his voice make you melt? What a prodigious wonder Chris Thile is.

Chanel's "Snice" Runway
Chanel fashion shows often leave spectators gawking, but in my opinion, this one takes the cake. Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel's art director, had the ladies walking through a shallow puddle of water in the midst of a gigantic "snice" (snow and ice) block. This imaginative runway design was inspired by Sweden's Ice Hotel. Although viewers were cold (the room was at 28 degrees fahrenheit) the models were kept warm by the faux-fur found throughout the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Go here for the full story!

Topaz Spotlight- Acne Jewelry
I can't say much about their clothing line, but Acne has a beautiful collection of jewelry.
What a bold statement these pieces make! They're definitely in the Topaz spotlight right now.

Fendi's Flashback
Fendi's Spring/Summer 2010 collection is filled with sheer overlays. I couldn't help but to think back to Alicia Silverstone's outfits in Clueless! Even at the age of... 8? 9? I remember liking those graceful, flowing pieces that Cher wore. Does anyone else remember this?

Academy Awards 2010
Loved it...
1. Demi Moore in Atelier Versace- WOW! Demi stole the show for me. This dress possesses just the right amount of flirty, lush ruffles. Also, the neutral color allows her ever-youthful face to shine through.
2. Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan- I love this dress not only because of its deep red color, but also the bold, asymmetrical neckline. Penelope is perpetually one of my favorites.
3. Anika Noni Rose- This dress reminds me of art-deco. It's hard to see in this photo, but look at the glass cut detail on the bodice. I also love the sweetheart neckline.
4. Anna Kendrik in Elie Saab- The drape of this dress is feminine, flowy, and darling! But my favorite part is the peek-a-boo lace outlining the slit.
Not so much...
Don't get me wrong, I think Zoe Saldana is beautiful, but this dress resembles a stack of shag carpets.

Gearing up...
Don't forget that the 82nd Oscar Award Ceremony is this Sunday! Steven Martin and Alec Baldwin will be co-hosting this year. Shamefully, I have not seen all of the nominated films, but I cant' wait!
True confession: I often get misty-eyed watching these award shows. I mean, who didn't last year when Heath Ledger won Best Supporting?
